We always start by taking our clients’ measurements. Exact measurements are essential to designing a tuxedo that will accentuate your best features. Our design collaboration guarantees you’ll look amazing for your special occasion.
For evening wear there are two ensembles that can properly be referred to as formal: white tie, which involves tails, or black tie— more often referred to as the tuxedo.
The more formal of these would be white tie, which includes a tailcoat with matching trousers trimmed with two lines of braid on the outside of each trouser leg, white pique tie, white pique waistcoat (vest) and a wing collar shirt with pique front. In today’s society white tie affairs are a rarity outside of affairs of state and high profile weddings.
Black Tie & Tuxedo
The most common and practical form of formal wear today would be the tuxedo or black-tie attire.
There are four proper styles for the tuxedo:
- Single-breasted, one button, peak lapel
- Double-breasted peak lapel
- Single-breasted, one button, shawl lapel
- Double-breasted shawl lapel
The best design for you will be determined at your appointment, based on the occasion, time of year, and your individual style. You are also encouraged to consider your tuxedo in a chic midnight blue, black, of course, being the standard.

- A lapel style for the occasion and one that flatters you
- Satin trim on the lapel, pant seam & pocket welts
- Your monogrammed inscription inside the coat can include your special date
- Many choices of fabrics from solid black or midnight blue to color variations and subtle patterns are offered
- Your appointment will include recommendations for the accompanying shirt, tie, shoes & accessories as well.
