Our most popular fit is tailored, but not “tight.” Being a custom garment, we build each shirt to the fit request of each client; ranging from extremely fitted for more athletically built clients, to more of a relaxed fit for the gentleman who prefers a more roomy cut.

Custom Shirts
At GENT we create your personalized fit pattern and start by building one sample shirt. Once a sample shirt has been fitted, we then make any necessary adjustments to the garment to ensure accurate fit on all future shirts. We ask you to wear and launder it several times as normal – this process allows for inevitable shrinkage of the fabric. It is then further adjusted if required to create a fit that is absolutely perfect.
With thousands of fabric colors and designs, 25 collar and cuff options, 20 monogram styles 30 button styles and 32 thread colors, we can build you a full range of business, informal, sporting and formal shirts.
We also offer a wide range of design options and treatments and can create some truly unique one-of-a-kind shirts for you.
Shirting Fabrics
We carry one of the largest ranges of shirting fabrics in Chicago. Our luxury fabric selection for custom shirts including cotton poplins, twills, oxfords and royal oxfords from two-fold 100s quality to two-fold 300’s or Sea Island Cotton. Our broader custom shirting offering includes ultra-fine wools, linens, cashmeres, silks, knits, and polos. Whether you are looking for more formal dress shirts or unique casual sports shirts, we have the right fabric for you.
Made in America
Our dress shirts are proudly made in America by a 3rd generation American shirtmaker. Every shirt comes with a “Made in America” label in it with the date of production to verify its authenticity.
